Quite like this idea but not sure whether to use a more sketchy illustration or maybe photography? If I was going to go on with idea I would scan in my own handwriting instead of the typeface on the left.
This ones a bit more serious and corporate looking.
Like this idea. The different aspects of the photo are the links to other areas of the site. i.e. the pad takes you to the 'work' section, coffee cup to 'blog.' I would retake the photo, possibly adding more objects (an iphone for 'cotact me').
